BRIDGE I

Perhaps you have never played cards seriously and think bridge is difficult for a beginner. Don't miss hours of pleasure because you are unable to play this challenging game.  Instruction and actual playing of hands make it easy and pleasant to learn.  No note taking is necessary. Cards are provided.  Please bring $15 for materials to the first class.

BRIDGE FUNDAMENTALS FOR THE INTERMEDIATE PLAYER

This course is a review of bidding techniques with an emphasis on play of the hand.  Students are invited to bring to their course their suggestions for topics, which will be covered in subsequent classes.

BASIC CHESS

This course will be a refresher for those who remember the moves of the men. It will look into tactics such as the pin and skewer, as well as basic checkmates. Participants will take part in a practice tournament. USCF membership is not required, but may be purchased through the instructor, as well as equipment if needed. Prerequisites: basic knowledge of the moves of the pieces.

Games have been with us since the dawn of civilization. This class will introduce you (or perhaps re-introduce you) to the do-it-yourself fun of Sudoku, the party-hearty joys of Bunko, dominoes, and other board and card games. If you are seeking amusement, diversion and stimulation, let’s play! Bring games if you have them.
