This program is for those
who wish to shape up and see results but do not want an aerobic or dance class.
The Body Workshop targets specific muscle groups and "problem areas" that need
extra toning and shaping. As a portion of the program incorporates floor work,
please bring a mat to class. This portion of the program will place emphasis on
abdominal muscles, hips and thighs, as well as overall toning, limbering and
stretching.
The program will concentrate on body sculpting. The exercises will shape,
contour and strengthen muscle groups.
Students are encouraged to bring light weights up to five pounds (begin with
light weights and work up to maximum level).
If
you do not have weights you can use your own body resistance.

KOBU POWER
and burns more calories than most
kickboxing fitness classes. KoBu's weighted resistance
training maximizes the number of calories the body burns during the workout to
achieve firm
and toned muscles. Scientific studies indicate that cardio-strength training
helps increase
metabolism that will promote the shrinkage of fat cells even when not
exercising. KoBu Power
is a workout based on the ancient discipline of Kobudo and Kenjutsu, the art of
the Samurai.
Using a weighted bar simulates the skills of a Samurai while music sets the
rhythm for the
routine. New students must purchase a KoBu Bar for $26 from the instructor.
Please bring the
money on the first night of class.
