DEVELOPING YOUR POETIC VISION

This workshop welcomes both beginning and experienced poets on an exploration of different poetic voices and forms of expression. We will examine a variety of poems – traditional, modern, contemporary, international – and discuss how form relates to ideas, emotions, and points of view.  We will devote part of each class to reading and commenting constructively on each other’s work; and focus on reading styles and performance. All students will be encouraged to submit poems for publication in the CTAS literary magazine, The Tookany Review. Please bring $3 for duplicating fees and one of your own poems to the first class.
